The Cross River State Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey has praised the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem for his high level of unquestionable integrity and patriotism.
Hon Odey at the Speaker’s Thanksgiving ceremony held at Nde, Ikom LGA in the Central Senatorial District South South Nigeria, described the speaker as a trustworthy and loyal team player fit for the position.
While congratulating him for his elevation, he said it was an indication that anybody can become someone in life despite humble beginnings.
Odey who was acompanied by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, used the occasion to advise the people of Ikom to support their representative.
As they called on them to let love for one another guide their interactions, the duo went on to urge him to strive to keep the goodwill of the huge crowd of supporters who gave him the mandate.
Hon. Ayambem response that he would remain the accessible Elvert that his community had always known was a promise that he added he was only first among equals in the House.
He vowed not to forget the fact that he is the key to holding the House together, as he lauded his colleagues for choosing him and supporting him.
The celebration which was attended by Ekiti, Ondo and Adamawa State House of Assembly Speakers featured former and serving Commissioners, as well as members of the CRSHA among others.
