As the Edo State governorship election draws closer, support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo, continues to swell, with endorsements coming from prominent political figures.
Among the latest to publicly back Ighodalo is Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who made a spirited declaration of his support.
Speaking at a recent event, Gov Makinde stated, “Let me declare loud and clear that Seyi Makinde is 100% with our candidate Asue Ighodalo in Edo State. The people of Edo decide this Saturday, if you want to know the difference between delicious and nutritious, you should vote for Asue Ighodalo.”
This statement not only underscores Makinde’s alignment with Ighodalo’s campaign but also adds weight to the growing chorus of voices advocating for the PDP candidate. The analogy used by Makinde hints at Ighodalo’s competence, presenting him as a candidate who offers more than just surface-level promises but one who embodies substance and real change.
