A group on the platform of Asue Ighodalo Patriots(AIP), has thrown its political weight behind the candidacies of Asue Ighodalo/Osarodion Ogie, of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) ahead of the September 21, 2024 governorship election.
The members of the group used the opportunity of the meeting of its Edo South chapter which held in Benin to pledge its allegiance to the PDP flag bearers, call for the support of others in ensuring that the duo come out victoriously at the poll.
The meeting, which was well attended by members of the group in the seven local government areas that make up the Edo South, namely Oredo, Ikpoba Okha, Egor, Orhionmwon, Ovia North East, Ovia South West and Uhunmwode, was unanimous in the call for support for the PDP duo of Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie come Saturday, September 21, 2024.
In attendance at the meeting, which is the AIP’s July edition, were units and wards coordinators of the Edo South chapter of the group, who all gave a nod to the clarion call for the emergence of the PDP as winners of the guber poll.
Among names of notable AIP members present at the meeting were Mr. Paul Smith Eghobor (Convener), Patra Cole(Deputy State Coordinator), Mr. Clinton Idahosa(Edo South Coordinator) and the seven Edo South Local Government Areas Coordinators.
