Edo Guber: Ex-Obaseki’s Aide Launches Group For Ighodalo/Ogie, Says Joint Ticket, Gate Way For PDP’s Victory

Former Senior Special Adviser to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Human Trafficking, Comrade Solomon Okoduwa, has launched a campaign group for the candidacies of Asue Ighodalo and his deputy, Osarodion Ogie, with the sole mandate of raking in more members and winning the forthcoming governorship election in the state, for the party.

He said the choice of Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Osarodion Ogie as running mate to Asue Ighodalo’s PDP governorship ticket is a political master stroke that would guarantee victory for the party.

Okoduwa spoke to journalists in Benin shorty after he inaugurated a grassroot campaign group with the sole objective of mobilizing support for the Asue/Ogie governorship ticket.

He urged Edo voters to queue behind the PDP candidate and his running mate in order to sustain the gains made by the Godwin Obaseki ‘s led administration.

Okoduwa said over the years, Ogie has demonstrated capacity, love and passion in uplifting the Edo youth and the downtrodden.

The former Libya returnee, added that his style of politics transcend partisanship and should be emulated.

“Ogie’s fatherly disposition cuts across board. As a grassroot politician that is loved across political divide, the PDP will gain overwhelming support among majority of Edo voters across the three senatorial districts.

“I can recall vividly his efforts and concern in ensuring that all returned migrants in Edo are rehabilitated and this can be attested to.

“He is a listening leader and that is why we are coming out to throw our support for him.”

The youth leader and human rights activist also admonished the voting public especially the youth to wisely cast their ballot for the PDP for their interest.

“I want to call on all and sundry to rally round the man whose life has inspired many. The man whose antecedents is more than enough to win the state for his party. Ogie is a mentor and father-figure to millions of Edo youth,” Okoduwa, said.
