JAMB Fixes June 13 for 2026 UTME Mop-Up Exercise

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Monday, May 25, announced that the mop-up examination for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will be held on June 13, 2026.

JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a statement, explaining that the exercise is meant for candidates who were unable to sit the UTME conducted between April 16 and 23 due to technical issues, biometric verification problems, or examination infractions.

“The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has fixed Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the conduct of the UTME mop-up examination for all candidates who presented themselves and were biometrically verified for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination but were unable to sit the examination for one reason or another,” the statement read.

The board described the exercise as the final phase of the 2026 UTME process aimed at resolving all outstanding issues involving affected candidates.

“The mop-up examination represents the final phase of the annual UTME exercise and serves as an opportunity to address all outstanding examination challenges involving candidates who duly presented themselves but encountered difficulties in taking the examination,” the statement added.

JAMB advised affected candidates to begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from June 6, 2026, and urged them to familiarise themselves with their examination centres ahead of the examination date.

The board also stressed that no further opportunity would be given to candidates after the mop-up exercise.

“Affected candidates are hereby urged to print their Examination Notification Slips, familiarise themselves with their examination centres, and make all necessary arrangements ahead of the examination date, as there will be no further opportunity for any candidate to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up exercise,” the statement said.
