#EndBadGovernance Protest: Business Activities In Full Sway In Edo

Business activities have picked up in major parts of Benin City after some of the civil society organizations decided to call off the #EndBadGovernance protest in the state.

A visit to Oregbeni Market in Ikpoba Hill in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, saw business activities picking up as traders were seen selling to their customers.

Speaking with Journalist at the Oregbeni Market, Mr. Mutari Abdullahi, a pop corn seller, said he is very happy that normalcy is gradually returning to the state.

He said while the protest was on, the little money he served, has been exhausted and that, with the opening of the market, he is sure of making some money from his sales today.

Mr. Abudullahi appealed to those spare heading the protest to have a rethink and call it off, noting that dialogue still remain the best way of resolving conflict.

Abdullahi said though the protest has been very peaceful but an end to it will be better.

Another trader who deals on a second hand clothing who preferred anonymity, said that she is happy that business activities are picking up just as pleaded with the federal government to heed to the demands of the protesters.

However, at the Ring Road axis, the Armed Personnel Carrier (APC) was stationed at the Central Bank of Nigeria with military personnel on a standby to wade off any forms of violence attack on the the facilities of the Apex Bank.
