Bimbo Responds to Claims About Using Emotions to Promote Films

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has addressed criticism suggesting she uses emotional displays to promote her movie projects.

The reaction followed the release of a new film on her YouTube channel, which was preceded by a video where she spoke about challenges affecting its upload. The clip sparked mixed reactions online, with some critics questioning whether the emotional tone was part of a publicity strategy.

In response, the actress dismissed the claims, stressing that she invests heavily in her productions and relies on structured promotion rather than sympathy.

She explained that producing a film involves significant effort, including organizing professional shoots, creating promotional materials, and coordinating a team working behind the scenes. According to her, it would be unreasonable to reduce such work to an emotional marketing tactic.

Ademoye also pointed out that she has faced several challenges in her projects but often handles them privately without seeking public attention. She maintained that portraying her reactions as a strategy undermines the work she and her team put in.

While acknowledging that setbacks have affected her output in the past, she reaffirmed her commitment to delivering quality content and emphasized that she does not rely on public sympathy to promote her work.
