TikTok stars Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and his fiancée, Elizabeth Amadou, aka Jarvis, have stirred reactions after revealing the unusual vow they say holds their relationship together.
According to the couple, any act of infidelity would attract severe spiritual consequences, a commitment they insist neither of them is willing to break.
Truth Live News Media reports that the couple spoke during an episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast released on Monday, just days before their planned wedding on August 1.
During the conversation, Jarvis insisted that neither of them could be unfaithful without facing severe consequences.
Responding to a question on whether Peller had ever cheated on her, Jarvis replied in the negative, while Peller questioned why he would consider being unfaithful.
Jarvis explained that their relationship was founded on commitment and shared faith, saying anyone who chose to cheat would face the consequences of violating that commitment.
“If you cheat, you die. It’s the rule of the relationship. Things will not go well for the person because we are in a commitment.
“We pray together, and God is involved. If you now go and cheat, will God just sit and watch? I will swear for you,” she said.
When asked whether repentance would attract God’s forgiveness, Jarvis maintained that although God forgives, the covenant they had already established remained binding.
“The commitment is already there. That is why I said he will die if he cheats. The curses we have placed are already there. We love each other, and there is no reason to cheat,” she added.
Peller also disclosed that he once suggested sealing their commitment through a blood covenant after watching a video on social media that claimed such agreements carried consequences for infidelity.
“I told her about it, but she refused. We were going to cut ourselves with a knife.
“I saw on TikTok that if anybody cheats after doing that, something will happen to the person. That was why I wanted us to do it,” he said.
Jarvis confirmed she rejected the proposal, stressing that their only covenant was with God.
“The only blood covenant we have is with God. Those kinds of things are not what we should be doing. The reassurance and commitment are already there,” she said.
Wrapping up the conversation on a lighthearted note, Peller joked that he had no reason to be unfaithful. In response, Jarvis offered a heartfelt prayer, asking God to continue guiding and strengthening their relationship as they look forward to their wedding.
