Chelsea defeated bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United at home to win a second straight game thanks to goals from Cole Palmer and assists from him.
The Blades were comfortable in keeping the Blues at bay during a fairly subpar first half, but Palmer grabbed the lead early in the second half.
He set up Raheem Sterling on the right, and the player dashed into the area to score the first goal from close range nine minutes into the second half.
After seven minutes, when most players in the area had given up, Palmer capitalized on a Wes Foderingham mistake to set up Nicholas Jackson for the second goal.
More elegant work from the former Manchester City forward could have extended the lead when Armando Broja deflected the ball wide of the goal from two yards out.
With the victory, the Blues move up to 10th place in the standings, while the Blades are still stuck at the bottom.
