It was a day of tears and mourning as Truth Live News visited the family of the deceased police officer Atabor, murdered in cold blood in Kogi state, while on duty.

Allegedly, Atabor was summoned to leave his duty post the night before his tragic demise, yet his unwavering commitment kept him in place.

Upon our visit, late Atabor’s heavily pregnant widow and 3 children were swamped by consoling neighbors, church members and relations, with everyone telling the story of his good communal life and commitment to duty.

However, the family’s location and personal details will remain undisclosed due to concerns about potential attacks until after the impending election.

The family had previously agreed to an interview but later refused because not all family elders were in agreement and thought it premature and risky. But promised to speak to TruthLive News in detail, in due time.

The pregnant widow and 3 children (2 girls and one boy ) live in a rented apartment, in the outskirts of town and the late police officer was the sole breadwinner of the family.

His untimely death, which occurred at 6 am on Tuesday November 7th, while he was on duty guarding the house of the SDP campaign’s DG, raises questions about the safety and value of those protecting the community. The call for justice is resounding, urging the state governor Yahaya Bello and security personnel to apprehend the culprits, regardless of their connections or influence.

As the Gubernatorial election looms in less than 24 hours, the news emphasizes that Atabor’s life should not become a casualty in the political landscape. Truth Live News promises to deliver more exclusive updates on this tragic event.
