The President of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, Samuel Eto’o, has been slammed a 6-month ban from attending matches of all categories of the national football team.

FECAFOOT boss was today banned by world football governing body, FIFA and sanctioned for breaching article 13&14 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code during the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Columbia.

It was during the Round-of-16 when Cameroon lost 3-1 to Brazil.

“The sanction was imposed in connection with the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup round-of-16 match between Brazil and Cameroon played in Bogota, Colombia, on 11 September 2024,” FIFA said in a statement.

FIFA’s disciplinary committee banned Samuel Eto’o without revealing specifics of the incidents, citing his “offensive behavior,” violations of fair play principles, and misconduct towards officials..

This decision comes after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) fined the 43-year-old less than three months ago for allegedly breaching ethical and integrity standards.
