Brighton Owner Reveals Why He Sells Top Players to Chelsea
Brighton and Hove Albion CEO Tony Bloom has explained why the club sells its top players to Chelsea.
According to him, the Blues have emerged as one of his best customers and are always coming back for more.
Bloom made the comments during a press conference when asked about the club’s repeated sales to Chelsea, and if he has a sort of relationship with the Blues.
“As I’ve said many times, they’re my best customers.
“We wish Joao well. And, you know, Chelsea have got loyalty points with me. They keep coming back,” Bloom said.
Chelsea reportedly beat off competition from Newcastle United to sign Pedro in a £50m deal.
Brazilian forward Joao Pedro is the latest Brighton player to join Chelsea this summer.
