Chelsea Faces PSG, Madrid Meets City in Champions League Tie

Real Madrid will face Manchester City again in the second round of the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

Both teams are drawn against each other for a UCL knockout match for the fifth consecutive season. The fixture will also be a repeat of the earlier league phase clash, which City won 2-1 in December.

Since the 2021/22 season, the two teams have met in the UCL’s later stages each year. Real Madrid have won the tie and progressed to the next round on three occasions, with City getting the better of them just once.

Chelsea and PSG will also face each other in a rematch of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final in the US. Chelsea had steamrolled the UCL defending champions in the feisty game.

Victor Osimhen and Galatasaray will play Liverpool again. The two teams met earlier in the season, and Osimhen’s penalty was the difference.

Ademola Lookman’s Atletico Madrid get Tottenham Hotspur while Barcelona were drawn against Newcastle United.

Arsenal will face Bayer Leverkusen, Bodo/Glimt will go head-to-head with Sporting Lisbon, and Atalanta will battle Bayern Munich.

The first legs will be played on March 1o and 11, with the second legs to be held a week later.
