Olise, Díaz Strike Against Real Madrid as Bayern Storm Into the UCL Last Four

Bayern Munich have stormed into the UEFA Champions League semifinals after a breathtaking 4-3 victory over Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, advancing 6-4 on aggregate in one of the most dramatic European nights in recent memory.

Bayern scored two late goals to knock record 15-time European champions Real Madrid out of the Champions League.

Arder Guler netted in the first minute of the encounter to give Madrid a lifeline before Aleksandar Pavlovic opened the scoring in the 6th minute and Harry Kane added a second before halftime, before Guler curled in a sublime free kick beyond the reach of Manuel Neuer.

Kylian Mbappe made sure the Los Blancos go into the interval level on aggregate with the German Heavyweight as the evening was far from straightforward for the hosts, as Real Madrid living up to their reputation for miraculous comebacks repeatedly threatened to turn the tie on its head.

But it was Bayern’s star-studded attack that had the final say. Luis Díaz struck in the 89th minute and Michael Olise sealed it deep into stoppage time in the 90+4th minute to send the Allianz Arena into absolute pandemonium and Real Madrid crashing out.

Bayern have won 39 of their 45 games in all competitions this season, and will now face PSG in the semifinals, with Vincent Kompany’s side looking every bit like genuine contenders to lift the trophy in what has been a historic campaign.
