In a remarkable display of media connectivity and engagement, the city of Funtua was on Saturday agog as its played host to the first ever Facebook Connect event, with great fanfare.
Organized and hosted by a team of vibrant youths led by Ibrahim Muazzam Yushau, Funtua Facebook Connect event aimed at fostering digital connectivity, innovation, and collaboration.
The event commenced at about 4pm with a vibrant opening ceremony, featuring poetry, traditional music and dance performances, creating a festive atmosphere.
Attendees were entertained by a large stage performance adorned by an impressive array of banners. The stage was set for a series of engaging presentations, discussions, and interactive sessions.
The event was attended by numerous prominent personalities, making it a memorable occasion ever witnessed in the history of Funtua town.
Among the notable personalities in attendance were government officials, business leaders, tech enthusiasts, and social media influencers, such as Alh. Abubakar Ammani, Samaila Ghali, Sulaiman Garba, Khalipa Aliyu Ibrahim Alti, Mallam Murtala Saidu Alti and Ibrahim Bala Abdullahi Funtua.
Also present are Hon. Kamalu Alti, Hon. Salmanu Abu Maigishiri, Hon. Aminu Ubale among other key political figures.
