The family of the late Nollywood Actor Alexx Ikenna Ekubo Okwaraeke has announced the schedule for his funeral and burial ceremonies following his passing on May 11, 2026, at the age of 40.
A memorial poster released by the family described the deceased as “a husband, son, brother, and friend,” paying tribute to a life remembered with affection and admiration.
According to the funeral arrangements, a Service of Songs will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Monarch Event Center, located at 138 Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lekki, Lagos, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Wake Keep is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 7 Ekubo-Okwareke Avenue, Aziukwu Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
Funeral Service and Reception ceremonies will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Mary Slessor School Field, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu. Interment will follow at the family house in Aziukwu Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
The family also provided WhatsApp contact lines for RSVP and further inquiries, while guests attending the ceremonies have been asked to observe a white dress code.
Friends, relatives, and well-wishers are expected to gather in Lagos and Abia State to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Alexx Ekubo.
