Femi Fani-Kayode on Saturday, 25th of April, 2026 took to his X handle( Formerly Twitter) to criticise the opposition Summit held in Ibadan as a ” brazen threat”, while further attributing the meeting as “Operation Wettie”.
According to Kayode, he sounded an alarm, noting that the opposition leaders threat has been duly noted, while admonishing them to consider the consequences of their planned actions.
Femi Fani-Kayode, also cited instances that came after the famous ” operation Wettie” in 1965, while drawing the crusaders of the opposition Summit on the aftermath of such operation
” Do those that attended the Opposition Summit in Ibadan today really want all that to happen again”, he tweeted.
He further cautioned the unified force of the opposition leaders to retrace their steps, highlighting the major essence of peace in a democratic setting.
Beyond his caution, Fani-Kayode reaffirmed his stance on the gathering of the opposition leaders, noting that no one is intimidated or losing any sleep over their threat, while showing credence to the will of the people in the 2027 general elections.
” No matter what they do or say, only the will of the people shall stand in the 2027 elections, he added.
