An interior decorator, identified as Esohe Aigbe, has been hacked to death by unidentified assailants on Ojo Street in the Ogida Quarters area of Benin City.
According to relatives who spoke with journalists, said she had just finished her job and was still within the area when she was attacked by persons yet to be identified.
It said that after they attacked her, they left her in the pool of blood.
She was rushed to University of Benin Teaching Hospital in an effort to save her life.
It was said that despite immediate medical attention made by the UBTH medical personnel, she could not survive it.
Her remains have since been deposited at the mortuary.
Her family members have since described the deceased as quiet, focused, and one who is committed to her work as an interior decorator.
They say she was well known in the area for taking jobs around funeral and event venues.
They however called on security agencies to ensure that those responsible for her death are found and prosecuted.
