Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor openly admitted that he embodies the characteristics of a typical Yoruba individual, despite his international representation for Togo.
Speaking on Television Continental (TVC), the ex-Arsenal player shared that despite being born and raised in Togo, his Nigerian heritage continues to influence him profoundly.
He said: “My father’s name is Adeyi Adebayor, and my mother’s name is Alice Eniola Adekanye. So, I am a pure Yoruba man. I was just born and raised in Togo, but I am fully from Nigeria.”
