Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Edo State, has finally agreed to appear on Arise News Channel after facing public criticism for repeatedly failing to attend the station’s live programs.
The development comes barely 48 hours after Arise News anchor, Rufai Oseni, publicly called out the senator for his absence, sparking a wave of speculation about Okpebholo’s reluctance to engage with the media.
According to a statement released this evening by his campaign media team, known as Akpakomizamedia Strikers, the senator has decided to accept the challenge and will appear on the show. His team emphasized that Okpebholo intends to use the platform to dispel ongoing rumors questioning his ability to handle tough questions from journalists.
Additionally, the senator will seize the opportunity to outline his manifesto for Edo State and address pressing national issues, including the recent “End Bad Governance” protests that swept through the nation last week.
