Terrorists have disrupted Friday’s Jummat prayers in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Armed bandits invaded the community, causing panic and forcing worshippers to flee from multiple mosques.

The attack occurred in Dan-Ali, a nearby community, where residents reported hearing gunshots and witnessing the chaos that ensued. A local source, who requested anonymity, confirmed the incident to PUNCH.

“We were at the Jummat prayer when we heard the shooting and everybody ran. We couldn’t hold our prayers again,” the source stated.

The bandits have been terrorizing farmers in the area for over a week, preventing them from accessing their farmlands. Many farmers have been kidnapped, and residents are living in fear.

Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer for comment were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
