Carter Efe Defeats Portable, Claims Celebrity Boxing Title

Social media comedian Carter Efe defeated street pop artiste Habeeb ‘Portable’ Badmus in a celebrity boxing bout on Friday, May 1, 2026, securing a unanimous decision victory at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event in Lagos.

The fight, held at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, saw all three judges score the contest 30-27 in favour of Efe after three rounds, ending Portable’s unbeaten run in celebrity boxing.

Portable, known for his hit track ZaZoo Zehh, had previously defeated Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington to claim two belts. He entered the bout brimming with confidence, vowing to secure a third title.

“I will use you to collect my third belt. Charles Okocha was bigger than you, Speed Darlington was bigger than you, and I beat them. I will beat you now,” Portable had said before the fight.

Efe, however, dismissed the threat, replying, “One punch and you fall.”

Inside the ring, the comedian delivered on his promise. Portable started aggressively in the opening round, throwing wild punches, but Efe maintained composure, landing clean uppercuts and body shots that exposed his opponent’s defence.

The second round followed a similar pattern, with Portable continuing his erratic approach while Efe grew more precise, connecting with sharper combinations. By the third round, Efe was firmly in control, consistently landing effective punches until the final bell.

The victory crowns Carter Efe as the new celebrity boxing champion, bringing an end to Portable’s reign.
