Lucky Obukohwo Reporting

Orode, daughter of former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, has dismissed reports claiming that her father had died.

In a post on her Facebook page, she clarified that the rumour was false, stressing that “my father is still alive.”

Truth Live News International reports that the rumour about the death of Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan began circulating on social media on June 24–25, 2026, prompting concern among his supporters and residents of Delta State.

The claim has quickly been debunked by both his family and the Delta State Government.

According to reports, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Ossai Ovie Success, said he contacted Uduaghan’s family after seeing the reports online.

He stated that he spoke directly with Uduaghan’s daughter, Orode Uduaghan, who confirmed that her father was alive and that the reports were false.

Orode also publicly addressed the rumour, stating on Facebook that her father was still alive, dismissing the reports as untrue.

The governor’s aide condemned the spread of the false information, describing it as irresponsible and urging the public not to share unverified reports.

He reiterated that Dr. Uduaghan was alive and well.

As of now, there is no credible evidence supporting the death claim, and official sources have confirmed that former Governor Uduaghan is alive.
