International Shift Christian Talent Hunt: Deacon Steve Uzeh Reveals Vision, Mission, Drive Behind Initiative

In an exclusive interview with Truth Live News, Deacon Steve Uzeh, Coordinator of the International Shift Talent Hunt, has laid bare the deep spiritual foundation and transformative mission driving one of the fastest-growing Christian talent platforms in recent years.

Now entering its fourth season in 2026, the initiative is no longer just a competition but a deliberate ministry aimed at discovering, nurturing, and projecting young Christian talents onto the global stage while advancing the gospel.

For Deacon Steve Uzeh, International Shift Talent Hunt transcends entertainment. “It is a mission, a ministry, and a platform for transformation,” he declared during the interview. The platform, which has been running for about four years, focuses on identifying, nurturing, and empowering young talents within Christendom at a global level.

Uzeh explained that the initiative was born out of a profound passion for soul winning and a desire to prevent gifted young people from drifting into secular spaces without adequate support from the Christian community. His driving force is twofold.

First, he sees the talent hunt as a strategic channel for evangelism and service to God. “Everyone has a different approach to soul winning,” he said. “I use my passion and ideas to bring people to Christ and propagate the gospel.”

Beyond the talent platform, Uzeh is actively involved in other charitable and faith-driven activities. These include supporting school fees for indigent students, rural empowerment programmes, and the construction of churches in villages. This broader kingdom work underscores his commitment to holistic Christian service.

The second pillar of his motivation is concern over the alarming rate at which talented young Christians are being drawn away by secular platforms.

“Many gifted young people are being enticed into the secular world simply because the support they need is not readily available within the church,” Uzeh stated. “That gap is what International Shift seeks to fill.”

He emphasised that the platform provides structured support, visibility, and opportunities that many churches may not currently offer to their creative members. By creating a faith-based environment where talents can flourish, International Shift aims to keep gifted youths grounded in Christ while helping them develop professionally.

Uzeh also reflected on the spiritual burden he carries for the younger generation. He believes that when young people are empowered within the church, their gifts become powerful tools for evangelism rather than being lost to the world. This vision of using creativity for God’s glory forms the heartbeat of the entire initiative.

The coordinator stressed that International Shift is intentionally designed to raise a generation of young Christians who are both talented and spiritually grounded. “The objective is clear to raise a generation of gifted young people who can thrive, remain grounded in faith, and use their talents for the glory of God,” he affirmed.

As the platform prepares for its 2026 edition, Uzeh’s message remains focused on transformation over mere competition. He envisions International Shift becoming a global movement that not only discovers talent but also nurtures character, builds skills, and fosters genuine soul-winning impact through the arts and creativity.

This soul-winning and service-oriented foundation sets International Shift apart from conventional talent shows, positioning it as a ministry first and a competition second. With registrations already pouring in from diverse Christian backgrounds, the vision is clearly resonating across denominational lines.
