Festus Alenkhe Appointed Substantive MD Of EBS

The Edo State Government has approved the appointment of veteran broadcaster and media practitioner, Festus Alenkhe, as the substantive Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS).

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a special statement signed by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.

Alenkhe is a seasoned broadcaster with extensive experience in journalism, media practice and public service.

He has held several leadership positions, including Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, and Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross, Edo State Branch.

Prior to his confirmation as substantive Managing Director, Alenkhe served as the Acting Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service, where he provided leadership to the organisation and contributed to the advancement of its operations.

According to the state government, his appointment reflects its commitment to strengthening the leadership and professional capacity of the Edo Broadcasting Service and improving its service delivery to the people of the state.

The government expressed confidence that Alenkhe’s experience in broadcasting, journalism and public service will further support the growth and development of the state-owned media organisation.

The appointment takes effect immediately.
