Barely a month after Adidas cut ties with him, rapper and music producer, Kanye West receives another heavy blow as footwear retailer, Foot Locker joins the list of brands cutting ties with him following nasty social media comment.
According to foot locker, its company would “not be supporting any future Yeezy product drops adding that its retail operators have been directed to pull any existing product from their shelves and digital sites.”
Truth Live News recalls tahe 45-year-old was recently dropped from the list of billionaires compiled by Forbes after German sportswear company, Adidas, cut ties with him over his antisemitic rants.
Before now, Adidas provided $1.5bn of West’s net worth, but Kanye boasted during a Drink Champs podcast that “I can say antisemitic… and Adidas cannot drop me.”
Following his nasty statement, the German company terminated its partnership with the rapper, also known as Ye, ended production of Yeezy-branded products and stopped all payments to him and his companies.
Forbes, had made a shocking revelation that without Adidas, West is worth $400m, adding that the remainder of his fortune comes from real estate, cash, his music catalogue, and a five per cent stake in ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s shapewear firm, Skims.
Similarly, West also lost business relationships with Gap and Balenciaga after he was seen wearing a shirt with a slogan associated with the Ku Klux Klan.
Aside the destruction of his relationships with big fashion brands, West is currently being threatened by social media giants, with Twitter suspending his account after he tweeted a promise to go ‘death con 3 on Jewish people.’
Also, the 45-years-old has been restricted on Instagram, forcing him to call out the Jewish CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, saying, “Look at this Mark. How you gone kick me off Instagram. You used to be my n***a.”
