Natasha Akpoti, Kogi Central Senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in the February 15, 2023 general election has revealed the extent of injury sustained during the recent auto crash that almost claimed her life.
Truth Live News had reported that Akpoti was involved in an accident along the Lokoja-Abuja highway last Friday.
Akpoti and other passengers in her Sport Utility Vehicle sustained various degrees of injuries.
The accident occurred after the vehicle hit a curb.
The politician was said to have passed out but was resuscitated at the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital.
In her post, she appreciated the staff of the FMC for “swiftly stabilizing her and organizing for her transfer to another facility in Abuja.
But for a few stitches on my face, and crack on a bone, I should be up and about soonest, she wrote.
According to her, her driver survived the accident unhurt, “thankfully saved by the airbag,” she added.
