The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has announced that its allies have committed over $20 billion to support Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia.

This significant pledge was made by NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte during a joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Brussels.

Rutte emphasized that this substantial assistance from NATO countries will enable Ukraine to continue its defense efforts for as long as necessary.

He noted that European countries are stepping up their military support to Ukraine, with the latest numbers indicating that NATO allies have provided over $20 billion in support in the first three months alone.

“The Europeana are stepping up, providing much military support to Ukraine.

“We have seen the latest numbers coming in that, overall, NATO allies have provided, in the first three months, over $20 billion in support to Ukraine,” he said.

This commitment is part of a broader effort by NATO to support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The organization has been working closely with Ukraine to provide military assistance, training, and capacity-building support.

It’s worth noting that this pledge is separate from the $50 billion G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) Loans initiative, which includes a $20 billion loan to Ukraine funded by immobilized Russian sovereign assets.
