Blord Lands In Custody As Feud With Verydarkman Escalates

A prolonged dispute between Nigerian businessman Linus Williams (Blord) and social media personality Martins Otse (VeryDarkMan) has entered the legal arena, drawing widespread public attention.

The disagreement, which began on social media, was characterised by a series of allegations and counter-allegations between both parties. Tensions intensified in late 2025 after VeryDarkMan accused Blord of engaging in fraudulent business practices, including claims related to the sale of mobile devices.

By early 2026, the conflict had moved beyond online exchanges, with both individuals reportedly pursuing legal and branding claims against each other, including disputes over name ownership and identity usage.

The situation escalated further when Blord was alleged to have used VeryDarkMan’s identity in promotional materials, including claims of a high-value endorsement deal. VeryDarkMan denied the claims, describing them as false and misleading.

Following this, VeryDarkMan initiated legal proceedings, accusing Blord of impersonation and related offences. A court subsequently ordered that Blord be remanded in custody pending further hearings and investigation.

The development has sparked mixed reactions across Nigeria, with some public figures calling for restraint and reconciliation. Among them is rapper Phyno, who appealed for calm during a public appearance.

However, VeryDarkMan has maintained that the matter should proceed through due legal process. Meanwhile, activist Omoyele Sowore criticised the arrest, describing it as excessive, a position that has further fueled public debate.

As the case continues, both parties appear firm in their positions, with the outcome expected to be determined through the judicial process.
