Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the son of former Kano State Governor and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been selected as the running mate to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, ahead of the 2027 elections in Kano State.
The announcement was made on Monday in a statement released by Habeeb Saleh Mohammed, spokesperson of the Kwankwassiya movement.
According to the statement, “Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been unveiled as the running mate to HE Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo for the 2027 governorship election.”
Mustapha Kwankwaso is a politician and businessman who has been active in political engagements within the state.
The development is expected to attract attention within Kano’s political landscape as parties and key figures begin positioning ahead of the 2027 governorship contest.
