The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh, has expressed his profound joy for a peaceful celebration of Christmas in the country.
He reportedly said that this Christmas marked the first time in so many years that they were not woken up by midnight phone calls reporting attacks on churches.
He made the statement after a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday, December 26.
According to him, this was a testimony worth sharing, and he expressed hope and prayers that the peace would continue.
It might be said that the reason there was no attack could be as a result of the strikes by the United States of America president, Donald Trump that targeted the gathering of ISIS in Sokoto State.
It might be that they were still not able to come to terms with the strikes yet.
Recall that there was speculation that the terrorists where gathering to unleash mayhem in some parts of the country but thankfully, Donald Trump struck.
