The annual Obhiaba Football Tournament has once again taken centre stage in Uromi as the competition enters its semifinal phase. This year’s tournament marks the seventh edition of the grassroots football fiesta, which continues to attract young talents and football enthusiasts from across Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The tournament is proudly sponsored by UK based Uromi born philanthropist and sports enthusiast Osi Okoeguale and friends. The initiative forms part of his commitment to giving back to the younger generation of Uromi, his place of birth, by creating opportunities for youth engagement, talent development, and positive community interaction through sports.
Matches are being hosted in Uromi, the administrative headquarters of Esan North East Local Government Area. Truth Live News International correspondent in Uromi reports that four teams have qualified for the semifinal round, with fixtures scheduled as follows.

Eguare All Stars will take on Uromi Football Academy at 2.00 pm.
Eli Ota Football Academy will face Holy Trinity Leaders Football Academy at 4.00 pm.
