Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed Samuel Badekale and Haroun Adebakin, the best graduating students of the University of Lagos, as the state’s Education Ambassadors.
This appointment comes with a reward of N10 million each to recognize their outstanding academic achievements.
During a meeting at his office, Abiodun praised the duo for attaining a Grade Point Average of 5.0, making the state proud and setting themselves on the path to greatness.
He furthered that his administration remains committed to recognizing individuals who bring honour to the state, and ispiring others to reach their full potential.
As Education Ambassadors, Badekale and Adebakin will visit schools, engage with students, and share their experiences to motivate and inspire others.
Abiodun encouraged them to remain close to the Commissioner for Education to support their career goals and aspirations.
The governor equally maintained that education remains a tool for achieving prosperity and eradicating poverty as it provides respect and a foundation for success in life.
He also commended the parents of the top graduating students for instilling values and making sacrifices to ensure their education.
Badekale and Adebakin thanked the governor, advising young people to focus on their education and avoid unwholesome practices.
