The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM Ahmed Muhammed Tijani Anaje has reacted to the viral court ruling that declared his vacation from the seat as the paramount ruler of Ebiraland.
In an official statement issued today, the Director-General of Protocol to the Ohinoyi-Ebira, Musa Usman, addressed the recent ruling by the Kogi State High Court regarding the position of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.
“Dear Esteemed Ebiras, as you may be aware, the Kogi State High Court has earlier today, delivered a ruling concerning the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland,” Usman stated. He acknowledged the potential for unrest but encouraged the community to carry on with their daily lives without disruption, emphasizing the ongoing appeal of the court’s decision.
“The judgment is currently being appealed, and our beloved monarch, the Ohinoyi-Ebira, a man of sound faith, is undaunted and continues to hold his esteemed position as The Paramount Ruler of Ebira Kingdom,” Usman reassured. He further affirmed the monarch’s unwavering position, stating, “His reign is far from over, and we are confident that he will lead us for many years to come. The only thing that can remove him from the throne is death, which we pray will be a very long time to come, In Sha Allah.”
The message concluded with a call for unity and peace, urging all members of the community to support their leader during this legal challenge. “Let us stand united in support of our beloved Ohinoyi and maintain the peace and harmony that define our great land. Together, we will navigate these challenges with resilience and faith,” Usman wrote.
