Tinubu Will Only Lose If Election Holds on Social Media — Uba Sani

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has said President Bola Tinubu would only lose the 2027 general elections if voting were conducted on social media platforms rather than at polling units.

Sani made the remark during an interview on Channels Television on Sunday, May 3, 2026, while speaking on political dynamics ahead of the next general election.

According to him, online narratives do not accurately reflect real electoral strength on the ground.

“If the election is going to be conducted on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or social media, Asiwaju will lose. But if it is people who will vote through the ballot at polling units, he is going to win 70 per cent of the votes,” he said.

The governor’s comments come amid rising political discourse ahead of 2027, as well as sustained online support for opposition figures, particularly Peter Obi, who enjoyed significant traction on social media before and after the 2023 presidential election.
