Chelsea FC is eyeing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for a January transfer, with a potential £40 million bid on the table, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been impressive in Turkey, netting twice in a 3-3 draw against Kasımpaşa and making history as the first player to register four or more goal contributions in the first three Süper Lig games since 2017.
The Nigerian international’s future is uncertain, with his contract with Napoli set to expire in July 2025.
Osimhen’s record speaks for itself, with 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli since his £73million transfer from Lille in 2020. He was also Serie A’s top scorer in the 2022-23 season with 26 goals
Despite speculation, Galatasaray vice president İbrahim Hatipoğlu stated that Osimhen won’t be leaving in January.
As the January transfer window approaches, Chelsea’s next move is eagerly anticipated.
Do you think Chelsea will be able to secure Osimhen?
Do you think Galatasaray will let Osimhen go?
Only time will tell.
