Paris 2024: Morocco Olympics Committee Motivates Athletes With Mouthwatering Incentives

In a bid for Morocco athletes to perform very well at next year Olympics Games in Paris France, the Country’s Olympics committee has come up with some juicy reward for its athletes which will serve as a huge motivation for the north Africa country at the games.

Morocco’s Olympics Committee

The Morocco Olympics committee, said on Friday, athletes that wins Gold at the Olympics games next year will be rewarded with US$200.000, with silver medalist taking home the sum of US$125,000 and those who win Bronze medals will earn US$750.000 for their efforts.

Meanwhile, the committee stated that athletes who set world record at the games in Paris next year will get US$100.000, while Olympics record athlete will be rewarded with US$50.000.

No doubt this is a huge motivation for team Morocco ahead of the Olympic games scheduled for Paris France from July 15- 11 August.

Morocco first participated at the Olympics Games in 1960 and has sent Athletes to compete in every summer Olympic Games since then except when they participated in the American led boycott of the 1980 summer Olympics. Morocco also boycotted the 1976 Games withdrawing after having initially sent a delegation, in doing so Morocco joined the boycott of the Games by most African countries in protest against newzeland participation following an all blacks rugby match unrelated to the Olympics against an apartheid team from South Africa.

Morocco participated in 17 sports at the 2020 Olympics Games in Japan, Winning just one Gold .

Meanwhile, Paris 2024 submitted it’s proposal to the IOC to integrate four new sports that are closely associated with Youth and reward creativity and athletes performance. The sports are Breaking, Sport climbing, skateboarding and surfing.
