Police Confirm Killing Of Man, 57, In Bauchi

The Bauchi Police command has confirmed the killing of one Alhaji Mohammed Samaila, 57, by gunmen in Gaina village of Misau Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Ahmed Wakili, confirmed the incident in a statement.

According to him “On 14 December 2024, at about 0310 hours, the Command received an emergency call from Alhaji Samaila Gaina, a 75-year-old resident of Gaina Village, reporting an armed robbery and tragic shooting at his home.

“At around 0250 hours, four unidentified armed assailants broke into his residence, resulting in the unfortunate loss of Alhaji Mohammed Samaila, 57, who was fatally injured during the incident.

“The assailants fled with an undisclosed amount of money while the victim was transported to the Federal Medical Center in Misau, where he was pronounced dead.

”In response to the serious incident, the Bauchi State Police Command immediately dispatched a Team of homicide Detectives to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.

“Our dedicated investigators are focused on identifying and apprehending those responsible for this heinous act, and we are committed to ensuring justice for the victim and his family,”
