Former Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi has opened up on his reasons for quitting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He blamed his exit on the former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, saying they took over the party’s political structure in the state.
Truth Live News Media reports that he disclosed this while speaking on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’,
Amaechi, who is a former minister of transportation, said he was chased out of the party by Jonathan and his wife Patience.
He added that he experienced the same thing with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I was literally chased out of the PDP… the president, Goodluck and his wife, took over the political structure in Rivers state and forced me out. The same thing happened in APC.
“I will never keep quiet in the face of injustice. When I speak up, they begin to plan to make me irrelevant,” Amaechi said.
