We Have Mobilized Our Officers To ADC’s Secretariat – Edo Police

The Edo State Police command, has said it has mobilized its men to the secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Benin, to halt further destruction of their facilities.

This was contained in a statement signed by the state command Police Public Relations Officer, Eno Ikoedem and made available to Journalists in Benin.

Truth Live News Media reports that the secretariat of the ADC, situated at Ogbelaka, Benin, was allegedly vandalized by suspected thugs.

Ikoedem said the command received a distress call and swung into action by mobilizing its men to the scene.

In her words, “The Edo State Police Command has confirmed an incident of malicious damage, thuggery at the African Democratic Party (ADC) State Secretariat in Benin City.”

The incident occurred at about 2055hrs of 4th February, 2026. Following a distress call received from the Control Room, Benin, reporting that suspected hoodlums had invaded the party’s premises and were destroying properties.

Police operatives were immediately mobilised to the scene to restore normalcy.

“Preliminary assessment revealed malicious damage to flags and two shattered windows in the premises.

“Security has since been deployed to the area to forestall further attacks, while investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible”,While commending those who called in to report the incident to the police, she warned those are bent on causing unrest in the state to desist.

“The command appreciates the prompt call that was made to the Control room which saved the day, encourages everyone in distress to do same through its dedicated lines and warns miscreants against such heinous act as anyone found culpable will be made to face the full wrath of the law”, Ikoedem said.
