France striker, Karim Benzema will miss out on the World Cup in Qatar after picking an injury in training in just few hours to World Cup kick-off.
The 2021/2022 Balon D’or winner had been named among Didier Deschamps 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar but had to pull off, some hours to the kick off of the world cup due to injury.
Karim Benzema had suffered a problem in today’s training session with France and the situation looks bad.
The France national team have yet again suffered another huge blow as they lost one of their big name player to injury.
Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema has joined other big names like Chelsea’s Ngolo Kante, Juventus’ Paul Pogba, PSG’s Presnel Kimpembé, RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku and AC Milan goalie, Mike Maignan that wouldn’t feature in the World Cup for the French national team due to injury.
Benzema had already played 7 Laliga matches netting five goals and one assist this season.
The current holder of Best Men’s player award reacting to the his situation said that he had to do what he did to ensure that someone who can help the team to win comes in.
He said, “In my life I have never given up… but tonight I have to think of the team as I have always done so reason tells me to leave my place to someone who can help our group to make a great world cup. Thank you for all your messages of support”.
