Maurizio Sarri has openly admitted that departing Chelsea after just one season was a grave error on his part.
Truth Live News recalls that Sarri left Chelsea to join Juventus in 2019 after leading the Blues to a Europa League title and a third-place finish in the Premier League.
In hindsight, however, the 65-year-old Italian coach said he made a huge mistake by leaving the London club.
“Leaving Chelsea was the biggest blunder of my career.
“We had everything in place to stay and build on our success.
“I should have prioritized staying in the Premier League over my desire to return to Italy.
“I let my desire to return to Italy cloud my judgment, and it’s a decision I regret deeply,” Sarri confessed to Sky Italia.
