A heated exchange erupted in the Senate on Thursday between Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and the senate leadership, sparked by a dispute over seating arrangements.
The controversy began when Senator Natasha’s seat was relocated without her consent, prompting her to refuse compliance with the change.
Chief Whip Senator Tahir Monguno cited sections of the Senate rule book to justify the reassignment, explaining that the changes were necessary to accommodate shifts caused by opposition members moving to the majority wing
However, Senator Natasha was denied recognition when she attempted to speak from her original seat, leading to a confrontation with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
“I don’t care if I am silenced. I am not afraid of you. You have denied me my privilege,” Senator Natasha said, refusing to back down
