E-World F.C. of Calabar clinched the 2026 State President Federation’s Cup title after edging Mojoda F.C. 2–1 in a pulsating final decided by fine margins.
The high-stakes encounter unfolded at the main bowl of U. J. Esuene Stadium, where both sides pressed aggressively and displayed tactical discipline.
E-World seized early momentum as forward Ubong John struck in the 11th minute, converting a well-worked attacking move that exposed Mojoda’s defensive line.
Mojoda F.C. responded with resilience and restored parity in the 24th minute when Isaiah Alfred calmly slotted home after capitalising on a defensive lapse.
The equaliser shifted momentum, forcing both teams into a midfield battle marked by interceptions, quick transitions, and tactical fouls to break attacking rhythm.
E-World regained control in the second half, dictating tempo and stretching Mojoda’s backline with coordinated wing play and purposeful forward runs into the penalty area.
The decisive moment arrived in the 64th minute when E-World earned a penalty following a contentious foul inside the box during a goalmouth scramble.
Midfielder Patrick Kayang stepped up under pressure and converted the spot kick with composure, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Mojoda pushed for a late comeback, launching sustained attacks and forcing saves, but E-World’s defensive unit held firm to protect their narrow advantage.
The final whistle confirmed E-World’s triumph, capping a campaign defined by consistency, clinical finishing, and disciplined defensive organisation throughout the tournament.
