President Bola Tinubu has okayed the redeployment of four Federal Permanent Secretaries to boost the Federal Civil Service’s operations and improve service delivery across key ministries.

The move is in consonant with the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to boost efficiency and foster innovation in the civil service.

Didi Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, described the redeployment as a routine process to revitalise the civil service by leveraging senior officials’ expertise in critical sectors. She urged the affected Permanent Secretaries to apply their experience in their new roles to ensure seamless service delivery and sustained progress.

The redeployments include Mary Ogbe, transferred from the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development to the Ministry of Regional Development, where she will understudy the Permanent Secretary retiring on 7 May 2025.

Faruk Yabo has moved from the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.

Emeka Obi has been reassigned from the Ministry of Budget and Economic Development to the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.

Ogbodo Nnam has been transferred from the Special Duties Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) to the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.

Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations, issued a statement on behalf of Walson-Jack, stating that all handover and takeover processes must be completed by May 2.
