Spanish giant, Atlético de Madrid have asked Barcelona for Memphis Depay as one of the replacement options for Joao Felix who has joined Chelsea on loan.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Atlético have shown confidence in convincing the Dutch professional player, Depay to join the club as negotiation is set to begin this week.

Formula for the deal will be discussed this week with Barcelona for the Dutchman who joined La liga giants, Barça in 2021.

He said, “Atlético Madrid have asked Barcelona for Memphis Depay. Negotiations will take place this week as direct contact has been scheduled to make the first proposal.

Atléti have Depay in the list as one of possible replacements for João Félix.

More on Memphis Depay. Atlético are confident to convince the player — but talks will Barcelona on the formula will be crucial.

Discussions will take place between the two clubs already this week. Memphis is not the only option for Atléti.
