A devastating story is has happened in Ogun State, where 41-year-old Ibrahim Aliu has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 12-year-old daughter.
The victim’s mother, Temitope Egbebi, reported Aliu’s heinous actions to the Oja Odan Divisional Police Office, stating that he had been abusing their daughter during her holiday visits.
According to Egbebi, she discovered the abuse after taking her daughter to the State Hospital in Ilaro for treatment of vaginal discharge. The hospital’s examination revealed that the girl had been subjected to prolonged sexual assault, which began two years ago.
The Ogun State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed Aliu’s arrest and confession during interrogation. He will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Sadly, this isn’t an isolated incident, there are many vases like this one.
