During the prevailing political standoff in Edo, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, has sought his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki, for forgiveness.
Shaibu made the call to journalists on Thursday in Benin, shortly after visiting members of the Catholic Men Organisation of Nigeria (CMON) on a courtesy visit to his office.
According to the deputy governor, he and his counterpart, the Governor, must work together to complete the ‘project Edo’ that both leaders began together.
Shaibu further prayed that God touches the hearts of Obaseki and those fueling the crisis, to let go of any hatred and allow peace reign.
