The National President of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC), Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi in a press conference, hails the resilience of the country's Women National team, the Super Falcons.

Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, who serves as the national president of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC), recently praised the tenacity of the women’s national team of the country, which is known as the Super Falcons.

Recall that Truth Live News reported how the nine-time African Champions secured a thrilling 3-2 victory against co-hosts Australia in their second group game at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Prince Ogunjimi voiced his displeasure with the manner in which Supporters Clubs from Nigeria were excluded from the first two games, most notably yesterday’s match against Australia, during a press briefing that was held at the Secretariat of the ANFASSC in Lagos on Thursday. The press meeting was convened at the instance of the ANFASSC.

He remarked, “Their game plan is so obvious, the Australian Embassy are keeping us away intentionally, we would have been on ground to cheer our darling team to victory today, but with or without us, our ladies stood tall and silenced their crowd.” He was referring to the fact that the Australian Embassy was keeping us away intentionally.

“Football is not a life-or-death situation; we compete, we have fun, and we work hard to succeed. However, it’s unfortunate that our entry document was denied, but in the end, everything turned out okay.

In addition to praising the Nigeria Football Federation for its part in ensuring that there will be a new development in the near future, the National President of the ANFASSC lauded the Nigeria Football Federation for its role in ensuring that there will be a new development soon. He also urged the Federal government of Nigeria to step in at the appropriate time, as the presence of the supporters’club will help the Falcons in no small measure moving forward.

Before the Falcons play their final group game against the Republic of Ireland, the ANFASSC Supremo is keeping his fingers crossed that their visas will be accepted.
