The PDP Governors’ Forum convened to address the pressing issues affecting Nigeria, acknowledging the severe economic and security challenges impacting citizens nationwide.

Truth Live News gathered that the PDP governors called for immediate action from the Federal Government and collaborative initiatives involving all levels of government to tackle these crises effectively. Emphasizing their commitment, the PDP governors pledge to contribute to restoring security and providing relief to the populace.

A key point of discussion was the proposal for the establishment of State Police, with measures put in place to prevent potential abuses of power.

Additionally, concerns were raised regarding the depreciation of the Naira, prompting a call for viable solutions from monetary and fiscal authorities.

In light of recent developments within the Peoples Democratic Party, the forum expressed its dedication to revitalizing the party and positioning it as a robust opposition force in Nigerian politics.

Notably, a vote of confidence was passed in the leadership of the current National Working Committee, with a directive to promptly convene essential party meetings from Caucus to National Executive Committee.

The meeting was attended by HE Bala Muhammed (Bauchi, PDP-GF Chairman), HE Sim Fubara (Rivers, PDP-GF VC), HE Seyi Makinde (Oyo, NGF VC & Host), HE Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), HE Caleb Muftwang (Plateau), HE Lawal Dauda (Zamfara), HE Godwin Obaseki (Edo), HE Agbu Kefas (Taraba), HE Ifeanyi Ossai (DG Enugu) & HE Monday Onyeme (DG Delta).
